What to Expect Working with Hugh

Hugh is a strong advocate for his clients. He spends significant time and effort understanding your perspective and seeing things through your eyes. He helps clients identify and believe in their goals, and his sessions can be client-led, addressing whatever is coming up for you first.

Hugh enjoys using metaphors along with various therapeutic approaches. Clients describe feeling empowered, at ease, and confident in his sessions. He sees everyone as the main character and the hero of their own story, and his goal is to help you overcome difficult times to become a reinvigorated, reborn hero in yours.

Philosophy on Healing

Hugh believes that we are all capable of helping ourselves. Sometimes we just need a guiding hand to get the process started. He holds that lasting healing takes time and effort, not perfection. He believes any healthy relationship is based on trust and communication, and he affirms that people can change, no matter how many times they have messed up or how long they have been lost.
