Jennifer is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Connections Counseling specializing in treating betrayal trauma and other relational struggles. She is a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (betrayal trauma) and works closely with CSAT therapists to assist betrayed partners through the full disclosure and recovery process.
Jennifer works with individuals and couples healing from the effects of infidelity and compulsive sexual behavior. She also enjoys working with individuals struggling with dating anxiety and relationship formation. Her work is largely based on attachment theory, and she believes that healthy relationships are key to mental well-being. When relational difficulties arise, Jennifer helps clients regulate, understand their emotional experience, and move forward with empowerment. Jennifer supports clients from a non-judgmental, collaborative stance.
Jennifer believes that working with underlying belief systems and processing emotional experience is crucial to healing and change. She is a collaborative therapist that truly seeks to understand her clients’ experience, and work with them towards solutions that feel right for them.

Jennifer holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from Brigham Young University. She has also been formally trained in EMDR, EFT and is certified in treating betrayal trauma.
Jennifer sees clients at the Orem location and offers in-person, telehealth and hybrid options. She prefers seeing couples and those wanting EMDR in person but will work virtually if necessary.
Outside of work, Jennifer’s favorite way to spend time is with family or friends, outside, doing something active (hiking, skiing, pickleball, running). Her family and faith are of primary importance to her – she has been married for 33 years, has 5 kids, 5 bonus kids, and 4 granddaughters, who are her favorite humans.
