What happens in the group?
Each session blends four elements: gentle body movement (stretching and slow yoga accessible to all fitness levels), grounding practices like breathwork and attention anchoring, reality sensing exercises to quiet intrusive thoughts, and experiential activities — music, creative expression, and group connection — that awaken joy and ease social discomfort.
Who leads it?
Drew Vernick, LCSW, guides each session with warmth and clinical expertise. Drew brings a gentle, trauma-informed approach grounded in mindfulness and Eastern modalities, creating a space where every body and every experience level is welcome.
Who it's for
Anyone experiencing stress, anxiety, disconnection, or who simply wants a supportive, body-based way to build wellbeing. No prior yoga experience is needed. You don't need to be a current Connections client to attend — the group is open to the broader community.
