What is individual mental health counseling?
Individual counseling is a private, focused partnership between you and a licensed therapist. Whether you're managing anxiety or OCD, working through depression, processing a loss, or navigating a major life change, therapy gives you a safe space to understand yourself more deeply — and build practical tools for lasting change.
Our approach
Our therapists draw on evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Brainspotting, tailored to your specific needs. We look beyond symptoms to understand the full picture of your life and goals.
Who provides mental health counseling at Connections?
All of our licensed therapists and supervised associates provide individual mental health counseling — LMFTs, LCSWs, CMHCs, AMFTs, MFT Interns, and CMHC Interns working under licensed supervision. Whether you need support for anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, life transitions, or personal growth, we'll match you with the clinician who fits your needs and schedule.
What to expect
Begin with a free 30-minute consultation to be matched with the right clinician. From there, sessions are typically 53 minutes and may be weekly or biweekly based on your needs and goals.
