What is trauma?
Trauma is the lasting imprint of experiences that overwhelmed your ability to cope — a single event, or ongoing experiences over time. It can show up as flashbacks or intrusive memories, hypervigilance, nightmares, emotional numbness, avoidance, or a body that won't relax. You don't need a 'big enough' trauma to deserve help.
What happened to you matters — and your nervous system can learn to feel safe again.
How we treat trauma
Our trauma-trained clinicians use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Brainspotting — powerful, evidence-based approaches that help the brain reprocess stuck traumatic memories so they lose their grip. We move carefully and at your pace, always prioritizing stabilization and safety before deeper processing.
What to expect
Start with a free 30-minute consultation to find a trauma-trained clinician. Early sessions build safety, trust, and grounding skills; from there, EMDR or Brainspotting helps you process what's been weighing on you. Available in Orem, Murray, and online across Utah.
