Therapy in Salt Lake City, however it fits your life
If you live or work in Salt Lake City, you do not have to travel far to start therapy. Connections Counseling does not have a downtown SLC office, and we would rather be plain about that than pretend otherwise. What we do have is our Murray office just south of the city, an easy trip down I-15, plus secure online therapy you can join from your home, apartment, or a quiet office anywhere in Utah.
That means two honest paths to care. Some people want to sit in the same room as their therapist, and for them the Murray office is close enough to make regular weekly sessions realistic. Others would rather skip the drive and parking altogether and meet by video. Both reach the same licensed Connections team and the same approaches — you simply pick the one that fits your week, your commute, and your comfort level.
Counseling that understands Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City is Utah's capital and the busy hub of the valley, and our Murray office sits just to the south of it. For many SLC residents, getting to Murray is a straightforward drive down I-15 — often easier than fighting for parking downtown, and convenient if you already head south for work, errands, or family. Still, a capital-city schedule can be packed, and traffic up and down the I-15 corridor is real. That is exactly why we pair the in-person Murray option with online therapy: if a downtown meeting runs long or the commute looks rough, you can keep your appointment from wherever you are instead of canceling. We will not claim an office address inside Salt Lake City we do not have. We will simply meet you at the nearest one we do — or on screen.
Specialized care, close to Salt Lake City
Connections Counseling brings real clinical depth to Salt Lake City clients. Our Murray team and online clinicians include licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW), and mental health counselors (CMHC), supported by associate therapists and supervisors. We work with anxiety, depression, and trauma using EMDR and Brainspotting, and we offer specialized care including betrayal trauma support from CPTT-trained clinicians, and CSAT-certified treatment for sex and pornography addiction guided by the Becoming Model of Recovery. We also see couples and families, children and teens, offer psychological testing, and provide LDS and faith-sensitive counseling for clients who want their values understood. Many clients tell us they feel genuinely cared for and able to make real change — and care begins with a free 30-minute consultation, whether you choose Murray or online.
