Chris works with families of all ages and configurations, and believes in change as a result of understanding complex systems. Whether the love is felt but forgotten, never existed, or has been wounded, Chris helps families and couples find their path forward. And when that path means saying goodbye, he helps clients move on in the healthiest way possible.
Chris describes himself as a Structural Strategic Therapist. He provides interventions and homework assignments designed to create the change you want to see at home. His office is a place for you to be messy, make mistakes, express emotion, and work through the hard stuff. The goal is not for you to be 'good' in his office — it is for you to thrive at home.
He believes that if we understand our system, we are no longer controlled by it. Understanding unlocks the door to feeling. When we feel safe enough, we naturally move toward wellness. Chris loves working with families and complex systems — couples, parent-child relationships, in-law dynamics, sexual addiction recovery, LGBTQ+ individuals, and anyone grappling with shame and self-worth.
Chris has four kids, two boys and two girls, and loves being part of their lives. You will find him at school parties, sports events, and performances whenever possible. He is passionate about the outdoors, music, and fun — camping, hiking, traveling, singing, new experiences, and amusement parks.
I am directive in my approach and expect clients to do homework.
