About Danielle

Danielle Mansfield is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at Connections Counseling Services who is passionate about helping people heal, grow, and create more meaningful lives and relationships. She has a particular interest in working with women, clients from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds, and individuals healing from betrayal trauma.

Danielle also enjoys working with children, adolescents, couples, and families. She believes therapy can provide a safe and supportive space to better understand ourselves, make sense of the experiences that have shaped us, and discover new possibilities for healing and growth.

Her therapeutic style is thoughtful, compassionate, warm, and collaborative. She genuinely enjoys getting to know people and creating a space where clients can feel both accepted as they are and supported in becoming who they want to be.

Danielle believes that people have a remarkable capacity for healing and change. Using evidence-based practices, she helps clients better understand their emotions, relationships, and patterns; work through painful experiences; and move toward lives that feel more authentic, connected, and joyful.

She is especially drawn to the power of story. Each of us carries a story shaped by our relationships, experiences, culture, challenges, and hopes. Danielle helps clients understand the stories that have shaped them while recognizing that the past does not have to determine the future — so they can develop greater agency and move forward with clarity, confidence, and hope.

Outside of work, Danielle loves spending time with her husband, Ty, and their five children. She enjoys cooking and baking with her kids — recent kitchen adventures have included homemade donuts, crullers, and English muffins — and also loves studying languages, traveling, going on walks, swimming, and watching British murder mysteries. Danielle is half-Samoan and has a particular appreciation for the ways culture, family, and identity shape our experiences. She is passionate about the experiences of Pacific Islanders and about helping create spaces where women and people from historically underrepresented communities feel heard, understood, and empowered.
